Mixed Up Love II

One of my favorite posts last year was "Mixed Up Love" so I've decided to do a repeat. For our (and your) listening pleasure, I make a mix CD for Corey on Valentine's Day. We listen to our mix as we reminisce about our past five years together and enjoy a fine assortment of cheese and chocolate. Please tell us your favorite LOVE songs and I'll make a list and you too can share them with your Valentine.

1. Every Heartbeat (compliments of Jamie).
2. Sea of Love by Cat Powers (compliments of Ali).
3. No One by Alicia Keys (Corey is a fan).
4. God Only Knows by the Beach Boys (compliments of Ali).
5. Do You Remember by Jack Johnson (compliments of Britton).
6. Sweet Escape by Gwen Stephanie (compliments of Lane).
7. You Picked Me by A Fine Frenzy (by me).
8. Bubbly by Colbie Caillat (compliments of Britton).
9. Escape by Rupert Holmes aka. the Pina Cola Song (by me).
10. She is Beautiful by Andrew W.K. (also compliments of Brit).
11. Feels Like Home by Chantal Kreviazuk (compliments of Jamie).
12. Escape by Enrique Iglesias (a great sappy entry by Grant).
13. I'm Always in Love by Wilco (compliments of Katie).
14. I'll Be Seeing You by Billie Holiday (compliments of Anne Marie).
15. Eternal Flame by the Bengals (Corey loves the Bengals).

"Every Heartbeat Belongs to You" by Amy Grant.

I woke up this morning with this song in my head. Still haven't figured out why. Now I know...it was destined to be part of your mix.

I'll have to leave several comments. Numero uno: Sea of Love by Cat Power.

Numero Dos: God Only Knows by the Beach Boys. I can't count how many mixes I've put this track on. I love it.

Britton also likes "Do You Remember" by Jack Johnson and he likes Colbie Caillat's "Bubbly" although he probably won't admit it if you ask him. Amy Winehouse's "Rehab" is also pretty hot, even if it's kind of Lindsay/Britney.

I like Gwen Stefani's "Sweet Escape." I still love Gwen and nothing says hearts and teddybears like that song.

B Dub recommends "She is Beautiful" by Andrew WK. Um...you may want to listen to this first.

Ummm what is it about "Rehab" that is so lovey dovey?

"Feels Like Home" by Chantal Kreviazuk.

Kind of hard to find, but still a keeper.

I'm also fairly certain Grants contribution would be "Escape" by Enrique Iglesias.

Kind of peppy, but I really like Wilco's I'm Always in Love

I'll Be Seeing You - Billie Holiday

I didn't say Winehouse was lovey-dovey, I said it was HOT. Have you heard it? She's a very sexy, bluesy-ish singer. Norah Jones meets Billie Holladay. I can't believe you're questioning this entry but Andrew WK made it though, no sweat.

Lane, the theme is Mixed Up Love- Amy Winehouse is just mixed up.

Ashley & Corey--I just stumbled on your blog from Marta's--how I know Marta is a long story. I cannot believe how big Max has gotten--when you don't see them, they grow up so quickly! We'd love to keep in touch with you all--do you mind if we link from our blog to yours? We keep in touch with all of the cousins in Utah that way!

Hey Ashley-thanks for your note--we would love to see you in Chicago. I think Corey has our information, but if not, let us know! It would be fun to get together. We've been out here since you've been married, so we haven't ever gotten to hang out!
