A First First

Although we ultimately missed two days of our vacation, we were given first class on our way to Austin. This was Max and Corey's first time in first class and they both enjoyed it immensely! Max snuggled up to me in my spacious seat and slept for a good part of the flight.

We had such a nice time in Austin. Thanks to all for making it a wonderful trip. It made us wish we lived in Austin all over again. We had a great time visiting old haunts like Shady Grove, Hula Hut, Polvos, Little Deli, Rudy's, Mandola's and all in the company of great friends. Kirk & Kendra were the perfect hosts as always. Austin, we miss you and can't wait to visit again!

So Sad

This is how I feel- like crying. Because of a huge winter storm our flight to Austin tomorrow has been cancelled. Not delayed, CANCELLED! And they can't get us to Austin until Tuesday. Tuesday? Surely you're joking? I'm not joking and quit calling me Shirley. Four days of our vacation just tossed out the window. About to cry again. If anyone has a private jet that can get me from Boston to Austin, call me immediately!

Celebrity Look-a-like

Angie posted these and they are so great I had to do one for myself. Try one for yourself. http://www.myheritage.com

Brave Heart

If you don't know that I am the biggest scaredy cat when it comes to snakes then you can't appreciate this picture. This is a 25lb yellow python draped around my neck. What could be more brave than to hold a python in one hand and your infant in the other? The animal handler assured me that it was safe and after seeing about 20 toddlers do it I decided the snake was docile but still, this is a big moment for me!

Spring Fever

If it doesn't seem strange to see people jogging in shorts then you're not in Boston. I wish I hadn't lost my mittens or I would be typing in them right now. The high today was 10 (but felt like -7) so when the temperature hit 57 on Saturday you can understand why Bostonians went through the roof. A frozen city came to life for a day. Everyone was out jogging, biking, and strolling around a still iced over river. That gleam isn't the sparkle of water, it's ice. It was just a tease though and now that we're back to single digits I can't stop thinking about spring and how I wish it would come already. Living in Austin spoiled me to winter so that's why we're going back, for spring break that is. We need some sunshine so we're headed back to Texas to charge our cells before we have to come back to the tundra. Austin, be good to us and greet us with your sunshine!

The Bathing Suit

After having a baby the only kind of suit I want to be seen in is this. Full body coverage! I guess I could do without the helmet. The addition of 1 Max to the Walker family = 0 two piece swim suits for me; at least for the time being. These cute little numbers from Boden may help me get up the courage to step out in public donning swim wear. Whether you prefer 1 piece or 2 see the entire line here.
