Not the O.C. We Know and Love

Over the break Corey stayed up every night watching season 3 of the O.C. - as a good wife, naturally I joined him. Although we may have caught the O.C bug a little late in the game, we are more than a little disappointed with the last few episodes. The clever but kooky characters and script that we grew to love are no longer. What has replaced it you ask? Hokiness. Yes, hokiness in the form of a convenience store teddy bear holding a mug of gummies w/ a mini mylar balloon. Seriously? The only thing dumber than Ryan taking Kaitlin's advice to woo Taylor back with this cheap convenience store nick-knack is the poem he read at the poetry reading. Not dumb fun, just dumb... dumb.

It's like they know the end is coming and they have given up completely. Did all the writers jump ship already? Where is the strong finish? Come on! This is the end, all we get- at least let us savor the last few episodes. The only thing redeeming about the last episode is that Seth's animal spirit is an otter. Strangely enough, it seems fitting. We'll see what tomorrow's episode brings but I'm not going to keep my fingers crossed.

Couldn't agree more. What's the deal-io? Stay strong OC writers; hang in there!

It is fitting that Seth's animal spirit is an otter. He always was an old soul, wasn't he?

Too true. She ain't what she used to be, eh?
I just discussed this topic at the B&N Cafe a few nights ago with Lane and Brit, and we reached the same conclusion...the otter made the episode. And what up with Sandy Cohen being practically a no show in last weeks episode?

Yes, this week the O.C. totally redeemed itself!!! I loved the otter/ground hog mix up and Kiki's birthday surprise. Last week was a fun episode!

so i guess i should take back the teddy bear and gummies that i was going to give ali for V-day.

Heart shaped pizza is for sure the better choice.

Curto-
I think heart shaped pizza is the hottest thing for the love season. Get your hair cut, show up with a heart shaped pizza (Pizza my Heart for reals) and there is no way she can deny you!
